It’s been a year since the last time so here is another short list of some of the things we purchased.
Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 Cordless Combi Drill with 2 X 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Batteries
With all the work we are doing in and around the new house I have been on the lookout for a new cordless drill/driver. This one popped up as a lightning deal and I grabbed it. The set I got included the charger and two batteries but there are other options available at different price points. The drill can be set as either a screwdriver with variable clutch, drill or hammer drill. I’ve been boarding out the loft space and this has been an invaluable time saver.
Circular Saw, TACKLIFE Upgraded 1800W 4700RPM Compact Circular Saw with 24T 190MM Circular Saw Blade-ECS01A
Another tool that will see some use during the the home renovation. I’ve wanted a circular saw for a while and finally had good reason to buy one. The Tacklife saw is reasonably priced and well reviewed. I’ve used it already to cut loftboards to size and have found it easy to handle and accurate in use.
LoftLeg Loft Lid Fire Rated Downlight Loft Protection Cover Cap
Having had downlights put into all the ceilings I’ve gone around and fitted a Loft Lid over each. These can be stuck down using a silicon sealant and provide a robust seperation from insulation. The entire downlight is enclosed and cables can be run out through the moulded recesses. Loft insulation is then put back over and around the lid with no risk of it coming into contact with the light fitting.
LofLeg Loft Flooring Legs 175mm Insulation Spacer
Loft Legs let you board your loft while leaving enough space beneath to fit insulation. They also raise boards above the Loft Lids you’ve fitted over any light fittings in the ceiling below. They simply screw onto the ceiling joists and then the boards are laid on top and screwed down. The legs are moulded in such a way as to make getting the screws located an easy task.
Another list of things we purchased. This time DIY and loft related.
